Bruce Bugbee is a computational statistician with the Computational Science Center.
His research has focused primarily on semiparametric regression, functional data, and variational approximation methods. After he earned his Ph.D in 2014 Dr. Bugbee spent a year working as a postdoctoral researcher at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center where he contributed to efforts to study various statistical questions in epigenetics related to cancer. Dr. Bugbee joined NREL in September 2015 as a support to a wide variety of groups at NREL.
