Yixin Zhao received his BS and MS degree in Chemistry from Shanghai Jiao Tong University at China in 2002 and 2005. He joined Case Western Reserve University in 2005 and studied as a graduate student in the laboratories of Professor Clemens Burda, focusing on nanomaterials for energy conversion. After receiving his PhD in 2010, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry at Penn State University, where he works with Professor Thomas E. Mallouk on solar energy conversion. Currently, Yixin Zhao worked as a postdoctoral fellow at NREL with Dr. Frank on sensitized metal oxide for photovoltaics and water splitting.
